The Young Men who made it possible

The young men (aka ʻcolonists” aka “panalaʻau”) were tasked with:

1. Keeping a check on weather conditions.
2. Farming: cultivating coconuts, vegetables, flower seeds
3. The study of bird life.
4. Collecting specimens for Bishop Museum
5. Mapping the island
6. Fishing: recording the types caught (also as food)
7. Landing field: preparing most suitable area
8. Daily log: recording all happenings of importance
9. Additional occupations c1;s may be advisable
